Uniform

School uniform is compulsory, and is requirement of attendance at the school, as laid out in the Uniform Policy. The aim is to make the uniform economical, tidy and consistent. A committee of parents, trustees and staff meet to propose any changes.

All new Timaru South School logo uniform items, including sunhats, are to be purchased through the NZ Uniforms on SH1 in Washdyke. All items of clothing should be clearly named.

Black shorts or track pants
Royal blue Timaru South School hoodie or jacket
Royal blue Timaru South School polo shirt
Black socks
Black shoes

Girls also have option of skirt or skort in school tartan
Pasifika students may also wear a black lavalava / tupenu

Uniform - Sports / House

Most sports uniform items will be supplied by the school. Children are expected to wear their own Timaru South School shorts. Sports uniforms are issued for wearing on the sports day only. Appropriate sports shoes and sports socks to be worn.

House tops are worn each Friday and for school sports events.

Jewellery
Only Medic Alert bracelets, watches, studs and keepers (ears only) are allowed).

Make up
Makeup and nail polish are not acceptable.

Hair
Long hair should be tied back. Extreme hair colouring and extreme hair styles are not acceptable.
