Title: Curriculum and Student Achievement

Timaru South School fosters student achievement by providing teaching and learning programmes that incorporate the New Zealand Curriculum. Priority is given to student achievement in literacy and numeracy as well as regular physical activity that develop movement skills for all students. Timaru South School develops and implements effective assessment practices to identify students at risk of underachieving and / or those who have special needs. Timaru South School, in consultation with its Maori community, sets targets for improving achievement for Maori students and reports achievement to the Board of Trustees and the Maori community.
